These are the physical practices – asana, meditation, mudras, pranayama, bandhas, posture labs, adjustment seminars and advanced workshops. 50 hours will take place during our 4 mandatory weekends. The remainder can be earned in the optional programs, including other training weekends, one-on-one coaching, personal projects, workshops, clinics and special events.
Complete 9 Training Assignments
In conjunction with 300 hours of learning, trainees will design and complete 9 self-selected assignments within each of the categories below. The assignments all teach and reflect professional, ethical practices for a leader in the yoga industry, so whatever your personal yoga “business” is going to be, your 9 assignments will help you get there.
How it Works
Complete 300 Hours in the Following Categories
To complete the program you are required to earn 135 hours with your lead trainer in addition to 135 contact hours. There are 4 mandatory weekends (90 hours) and we will add additional optional weekends, workshops, and trainings as required by the size and needs of the group. This allows everyone to develop their specialties and dreams, and to pick and choose what workshops will best fill their needs.
For example, if your dream includes teaching teachers, you may be assisting or observing in some of the 200-hour programs; or you may even be paid to teach a workshop for the 200-hour students. Your journey is unique, so we’ll help you design and manage your hours to fit it.
You will spend your 270 required hours in the following categories:
A Typical Weekend Schedule
A typical weekend will include a lot of physical practice mixed with reasonable breaks and discussion time. Plentiful snacks and drinks make it easy to stay present and learning. For skillful yoga teachers, there is so much more than mat classes.
